Support
Write to support@gridflow.eco. During the beta, a scan that shows the problem is worth more than any description of it.
Send us the scan
In the app: Export → Capture artefacts → Send us this scan. It removes the address and postcode, the GPS position and every photograph by default, shows you exactly what it is sending, and hands you the file to send however you like. Attach it to your email with a sentence about what went wrong.
Because the raw capture is kept, a scan you send today still helps when the pipeline improves next month: the problem it shows becomes a test that cannot come back silently.
Things worth knowing
- The measurements are not yet validated against a tape. Every number in the app inherits the scan's dimensions. Check a few walls with a tape: tap a wall on the floor plan, then Check with a tape: and the app computes its own accuracy from your readings.
- Scan one floor at a time. A whole floor in one pass works, and can be divided into rooms afterwards; room by room gives the app more to work with.
- A room too small to scan: a downstairs loo, a cupboard: can be measured instead: Measure a small room, next to Finish floor.
- If the scanner loses its place between rooms, the next room arrives with a "Where does this room go?" screen. Drag it into place, or accept where the doorway put it.
- Rooms made by dividing a floor are named "Downstairs 1, 2, 3" and need renaming on the plan.
- Surveys sync through iCloud Drive if you are signed in; otherwise they live on the device only. Export anything you need to keep.
